Northern Lapwing On Visit To Farmland In North East Fife Scotland

Tour Scotland short travel video clip of a Lapwing on visit to farmland in rural North East Fife. Lapwings are found on farmland throughout the United Kingdom particularly in lowland areas of northern England, the Borders and eastern Scotland. In the breeding season these birds prefer spring sown cereals, root crops, permanent unimproved pasture, meadows and fallow fields. They can also be found on wetlands with short vegetation. The northern lapwing bird, Vanellus vanellus, also known as the peewit or pewit, tuit or tew-it, green plover, or in Britain and Ireland as pyewipe or just lapwing, is a bird in the lapwing subfamily.
