Old Photograph Station Road Methil Fife Scotland

Old photograph of buildings and people on Station Road in Methil, Fife, Scotland. Methil is an eastern coastal town in Scotland. It was first recorded as " Methkil " in 1207, and belonged to the Bishop of St Andrews. It was part of its own barony in 1614 and also part of the former burgh of Buckhaven and Methil. Historically, the main industry in the area was coal mining, with most of the coal exported through Methil Docks, which exported over 3,000,000 tons per year between the WW1 and WW2.
