The more steeply plunging west coast highland rivers in particular are home to countless waterfalls. There's no escaping the fact that Scotland has a lot of water. The rain that the nation is famous for is not always a bad thing, as it used for whisky, it means there are never droughts, and it also means an abundance of beautiful waterfalls.
