Summer Road Trip Drive From Dennistoun To Visit Cathedral Square Glasgow Scotland

Cathedral Square and precinct is situated adjacent to Glasgow Cathedral. The Square dates back to the seventh century when St Mungo, Glasgow’s patron saint, established a church here. The Square is dominated by the magnificent Glasgow Cathedral, built between the 13th and 15th centuries. This stunning building was the only cathedral on the Scottish mainland to survive the the Reformation intact. Statues and monuments abound in the Square including in this video; statue of James Arthur, clothing manufacturer and philanthropist; David Livingstone, physician, missionary and explorer; James Lumsden, stationery manufacturer, Lord Provost, and Royal Infirmary treasurer.
Glasgow is 59 miles from Perth, Perthshire, 46 miles from Edinburgh, 30 miles from Stirling and 73 miles from St Andrews, Fife.
