Moirlanich Longhouse Glen Lochay Killin Scotland

Tour Scotland travel video of Moirlanich Longhouse in Glen Lochay by Killin. The longhouse at Moirlanich is an important and rare survival of a once common type of Scottish building. It retains evidence of its turf and thatch roof beneath the corrugated iron roof. This type of building was also called a blackhouse or byre dwelling. The building was occupied by at least three generations of a local Robertson family, tenant farmers and horse breeders
