Autumn Fingask Castle Perthshire Scotland

Tour Scotland Autumn video of Fingask Castle on visit to the Carse of Gowrie, Perthshire. This Scottish castle dates from the 1594, and has one of the oldest gardens in Scotland. The terraces and woodland around Fingask Castle date from the late 17th century. The 19th century topiary, woodland gardens, trees, and the great lawns around the castle are all worth a visit. Stuart Threipland, born 1716, died 1805, the son of Sir David Threipland, second baronet of Fingask Castle, was an ardent Jacobite. He accompanied Prince Charles Edward Stuart during the Jacobite uprising of 1745 and went into exile shortly after the battle of Culloden in April 1746, returning in 1747. Bonnie Prince Charlie visited the castle twice.
