Autumn Dusk And Sunset Queen's View Loch Tummel Highland Perthshire Scotland
Tour Scotland Autumn travel video shot at dusk and sunset of Loch Tummel from the Queens View, located West of Pitlochry, on visit to Highland Perthshire. The Queen's View made famous by Queen Victoria in 1866, although it is said to have been named after Queen Isabel, wife of Robert the Bruce, though this has to be treated with some caution since Isabella was never a queen. She died in 1296 some ten years before Robert the Bruce was crowned King of Scotland. Schiehallion mountain in the background is an anglicised form of the Gaelic name Sìdh Chailleann, which translates as Fairy Hill of the Caledonians. It is also known to some as The Maiden's Pap, or Constant Storm. Schiehallion lies between Loch Tay and Loch Tummel, 10 miles north of Aberfeldy in Perthshire. The mountain is isolated from other peaks and has an almost perfect conical shape from the west. The view of the broad eastern flank attracts many visitors to the shores of Loch Tummel.
