The Luncarty to Birnam dualling section encompasses many miles of the A9 and will be widened as part of the dualling programme, improving journey times and safety on the route. Lots of traffic restrictions on this stretch of the A9 from last week, including narrow lanes and a reduced speed limit of 40mph. One of Scotland's largest transport infrastructure programmes aims to upgrade 80 miles of single carriageway between Perth and Inverness.
