Old photograph of houses on Hillside Avenue in Dufftown, in the heart of Speyside, Scotland. Dufftown was established as a burgh in 1817 by James Duff, the 4th Earl Fife. The town was created to develop the Earl's estate and to offer housing and employment for soldiers who had served in the Napoleonic War.
