Old Photograph Three Sisters Rouken Glen Scotland


Old photograph of the three sisters in Rouken Glen in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire, to the South West of Glasgow, Scotland. Also known as the Three Graces, these trees were planted by the Crum family during their landscaping program. Alexander Crum, son of Walter Crum, had an especial love of trees. At his funeral in 1893, the Rev. John Charleson spoke of the " paradise of various mingled trees " he had created.
