After Auchtermuchty the road passes north of Birnie Loch. The road then meets the A92 at Melville Lodges Roundabout before continuing on the A91 road back into the countryside past the Bow of Fife and the Scottish Deer Centre before heading into the royal burgh and county town of Fife, Cupar.
