Old Photograph Tushielaw Scotland

Old photograph of Tushielaw, a settlement on the left bank of the Ettrick Water, 12 miles sout west of Selkirk, Scottish Borders, Scotland. The Tushielaw Inn was established as a coaching inn around 1750, although the present building dates from the 1830s. The ruins of the 16th century Tushielaw Tower, property of the Scott family, lie a mile to the south west. A hill of the same name rises behind Tushielaw.
