Tour Scotland travel video of the reenactment of the Crowning Of King Robert The Bruce on the Stone of Destiny on Moot Hill on visit to Scone Palace by Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. At the beginning of AD 1306, the aforesaid Robert de Bruce, on the day of the Annunciation to the Blessed Mary, had himself crowned as King of Scotland at Scone, in the presence and with the agreement of four bishops, five earls and the people of the land. Robert the Bruce was King of Scots from 1306 until his death in 1329 and led Scotland during the first of the Wars of Scottish Independence against England. His most famous victory came at the Battle of Bannockburn in June 1314 when he defeated a much larger English army under Edward II, confirming the re-establishment of an independent Scottish monarchy.
