Tour Scotland Travel Video John And Ethel Hutchison Window Parish Church Kenmore Highland Perthshire

Tour Scotland travel video of the John and Ethel Hutchison memorial stained glass window in the Parish Church in Kenmore on ancestry visit to Highland Perthshire, Scotland. The theme of the window is Praise to the Creator: the two main figures are King David the psalmist and John the Baptist. The side panels represent the four seasons of the year, with the corn in the summer and fruit in autumn symbolising the bread and wine of the Sacrament. The Hutchison surname is recorded in may forms including Hutchinson, Hutcheson, Hutchieson and Hutchison, and is an Anglo Scottish surname. It is a patronymic and diminutive form of the original personal name Hugh, itself Norman French, but of pre 7th century Old German origins. It derives from the word " hug " meaning " heart or soul ", with the additives " kin " meaning close relative, and " son of ". Amongst the many early recordings are those of John Hucheson of Sheffield, Yorkshire, England in 1440, and in Scotland James Huchonsone, who held lands in Glasgow in 1454.
