Old Travel Blog Photograph Clachtoll Beach Scotland

Old travel Blog photograph of Clachtoll Beach in the Bay of Clachtoll in Assynt in the North West edge of Sutherland, Scotland. Its name derives from the Gaelic and refers to the very large broken rock, the remains of a natural arch. Gaelic: " clach " is " rock " and " toll " means " hole ", " cavity " etc. on the headland nearby. History Blog post of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to travel and visit one day.
