Old travel Blog photograph of Fire trees in Glen Ashdale on the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland. According to local legend, this is the site where Robert the Bruce mistook farmers' fires on the mainland as the signal to launch his campaign. This site was also the location of a Viking ship burial excavated in the earlier 20th century. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
