Old Travel Blog Photograph Irvine Memorial Nursing Home Pitlochry Scotland

Old travel Blog photograph of Irvine Memorial Nursing Home in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland. The Irvine Memorial Nursing Home was built in 1901 as a memorial to Dr William Stewart Irvine, a medical practitioner who had practised in the district for nearly 60 years. It was designed in 1900 by John Leonard in an unassuming manner. The parish district nurse became the first matron of the cottage hospital.
