Tour Scotland self catering holiday cottage recommendation in Aberfoyle, Scotland.
Duke's Cottage offers cosy accommodation near the centre of the popular village of Aberfoyle. Within easy reach of both the amenities of Aberfoyle and the stunning surrounding countryside you could easily spend a day on the local trails, walking by lochs, through woodland trails and over the tops of the nearby hills before retreating to one of the excellent pubs only minutes from the cottage door. If their open fires and real ales don't hold appeal every night you could always grab a bottle of wine, put your feet up in front of the cottage wood burning stove and have a night in. Mornings can be spent in, or outside, one of the local cafes or out on the cottage balcony high above the street below. With a comfortable double bedroom and a fold out futon bed in the lounge the property can sleep up to 4 but it as accommodation for a couple that it truly excels. Exposed beams in the lounge add to the cosy feel while velux windows lining the lounge make it feel airy and bright through the day. A perfect location to enjoy bluebells in the spring, long summer evenings, the famous autumn colours of the Trossachs and bracing winter walks. The accommodation comprises a small entrance hall, a well appointed dining kitchen and a double bedroom with en-suite shower room on the ground floor. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a living room equipped with 32' Samsung LCD TV, DVD player, small library of books and board games and a wood burning stove to cosy up by. There is also a double sofa bed to accommodate additional guests and a small WC. To the side of the property there is a small external raised decking area with table and chairs. There is also a covered area where we have bolted in an anchor for locking bikes to. Electricity, towels, linen, crockery and cutlery are all provided along with a basket of fuel for the wood burning stove. We can provide a safety stair gate and high chair for guests with young children, on request.
Braeside cottage is located in the village of Aberfoyle in the Trossachs and can sleep five people in three bedrooms. The cottage sleeps five people and has one double bedroom, one twin, a single and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room. Outside is off road parking and courtyard garden with outdoor furniture. Just a two minute walk to the village centre and with fabulous scenery all around. Amenities: Electric storage heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, selection of books, games and DVDs. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 1 car with roadside parking available. Courtyard garden to rear with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. The village of Aberfoyle lies within The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The area around the Trossachs is where Highland meets Lowlands. Aberfoyle itself offers a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs and is situated just a 20 minute drive from the shores of Loch Lomond. Within The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park there are a huge variety of attractions; enjoy a gentle stroll through the Balloch Castle Country Park or the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, which will guide you past lochside villages and sandy bays, or, for the more adventurous, the mountains offer challenging walks and climbs.
This second floor apartment is located on the top floor of a former Victorian hotel in the village of Aberfoyle near to Stirling and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Aberfoyle Apartment is a holiday home that is situated on the top floor of a former Victorian hotel in the village of Aberfoyle, within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. All the accommodation is on the second floor and comprises two double bedrooms and a family bathroom and can sleep a maximum of four people. The rest of the property is made up of a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an electric fire. Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars on a first come, first served basis. With the whole of the Trossachs to explore, Aberfoyle Apartment is an ideal base for touring this part of Scotland.
