Old photograph of a Double Decker passenger bus travelling to Dalkeith in Edinburgh, Scotland. Double decker buses were first introduced to the Midlothian area in the early 1910s. However, regular operations were interrupted almost immediately when many vehicles were requisitioned by the government for wartime use during World War I. A double-decker bus is a bus that has two storeys or decks. Double-decker buses are still used for mass transport in the United Kingdom and Europe.
