Old photograph of Hazel Bank cottage by Whiting Bay on the Island of Arran, Scotland. Whiting Bay, where the cottage is located, was historically divided into small settlements including Auchencairn and Largymore. Following the clearances, many plots were settled in the 1830s, forming the village structure along the coast.
