Old Photograph Sanatorium Banchory Scotland

Old photograph of the Sanatorium by Banchory, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Completed in 1900 this was one of the first sanatoria or tuberculosis hospitals, in Britain. The Sanatorium closed in 1928, lying empty until becoming the Glen O’ Dee Hotel in 1934, after being used for the World War 2, it reverted to a hospital. Blog post of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
