Old photograph of horses and carriages and people outside the Cot House Hotel in Argyll, Scotland. The inn was a well known and strategic stop for centuries. Historical accounts suggest that Mary, Queen of Scots, may have passed through and rested at the Cothouse Inn in May 1568 during her flight across Scotland after her defeat at the Battle of Langside
