Old Photograph Crofters Farming Fair Isle Scotland

Old photograph of crofters farming on Fair Isle, Scotland. This is an island in northern Scotland, lying around halfway between mainland Shetland and the Orkney Islands. Fair Isle has been occupied since the Bronze Age which is remarkable because of the lack of raw materials on the island, although it is surrounded by rich fishing waters.
