Old Photograph Shop Blackshiels Scotland

Old photograph of the cottage shop in Blackshiels in Midlothian, Scotland. The Blackshiels Inn was a stopping point on the road to Lauder. The Pringle family has a strong presence in the area. While Blackshiels itself is a small village, its historical context is interwoven with the surrounding Scottish Borders region, known for its turbulent history, including Roman influence, Wars of Independence, and the era of the Reivers.
