Old photograph of Auchnafree, Perthshire, Scotland. Auchnafree is situated near the junction of Glen Shervie with Glen Almond, 8 miles North West of Crieff. Records show that there was a house at Auchnafree in 1457 and that the Sheriff of Perth resided at Auchnafree in 1595. The estate here became the property of Sir Albert Whitaker, born 1860, died 1936, of Hesley Hall in Yorkshire, England, in 1896.
