Old photograph of Whitehall Street, Dundee, Scotland. The street’s name derives from a mansion known as " Whitehall," which stood in the area before the street was built. Originally a home owned by wealthy merchants like George and Will Spens, it was later occupied in the 17th century by Sir Patrick Lyon of Carse, a judge and ardent Royalist.
