Tour Scotland Video Scone Palace Walk

Tour Scotland video of a walk on Moot Hill, Scone Palace, by Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. Very windy today in Scotland. Scone Palace opened for the tourist season this morning, so it seemed like a good place to tour. There are a number of Peacocks roaming the grounds of Scone Palace, including the White Peacock you see at the start of this video. Scone Moot Hill, the mons placiti or Scone mote hill is the inauguration site of the Scottish Kings. It is also called Boot Hill, possibly from an ancient tradition whereby emissaries swore fealty to their king by wearing the earth of their own lands in their foot-bindings or boots. You can also see the replica of the Stone of Destiny on this video, which sits in front of Scone Palace Mortuary Chapel or Mausoleum on the site of the former Parish Church of Scone.
