Old Photograph Tram Airdrie Scotland

Old photograph of shops, people and Tram in Airdrie, Scotland. Airdrie did not have a tram network of its own, but it was served by the private Airdrie and Coatbridge Tramways, which operated horse drawn and later electric trams. The lines were eventually sold to Glasgow Corporation Tramways in 1921, with the trams being integrated into the larger Glasgow system until its own tram network was eventually dismantled in favor of buse
