July 3rd photograph of the Berry Bus in Perth, Scotland. A restored vintage bus formerly used to transport berry pickers in Perthshire was at the Perthshire On A Plate event today. Author Jess Smith was available to pass on some of her traditional stories to children and adults.

Jess Smith was raised in a large family of Scottish travellers. She is married with three children and six grandchildren. As a traditional storyteller, she is in great demand for live performances throughout Scotland. Her autobiographical trilogy began with Jessie's Journey, continued with Tales from the Tent and concludes with Tears for a Tinker.
