Old photograph of Clan Graves at Culloden Battlefield near Inverness, Highlands, Scotland. The Clan Graves mark the final resting place of approximately 1,500 Jacobite clansmen who fell during the Battle of Culloden on April 16, 1746. Lasting under an hour, the battle saw Bonnie Prince Charlie’s exhausted Jacobite army decisively defeated by government forces led by the Duke of Cumberland, crushing all hopes of restoring the Stuart monarchy.
