December 29th Photograph Almost Blue Moon Scotland

December 29th photograph of " almost a blue moon, " seen above Kinnear's Inn, Scone, north of Perth, Scotland. A Blue Moon occurs when two full moons happen in one calendar month and we're due for one above Scotland on New Year's Eve, 2009. There won't be another blue moon until August 31st, 2012 and the next blue moon to occur on New Year’s Eve won't be until 2028.

All photographs are copyright of Sandy Stevenson, Tour Scotland, and may not be used without permission.

Hey sandy, I did not realise there was actually such a thing as a blue Moon.
I love keeping track of you on twitter and looking at your pictures.
May I wish you all the best for 2010.
