Tour Scotland photograph of a Scottish sheep near Rochteth in Glen Clova, Angus, Scotland. Lindsays occupied this area throughout the 1700s, and, for many years, Lindsay was the most common surname name in the glen. A Robert Lindsay married in 1782 and again in 1793 and had 9 legitimate children, including 5 sons, but he was the last Lindsay to possess and cultivate Rochteth.
