Tour Scotland photograph of Colour Sergeant Stewart McPherson gravestone in the graveyard in Culross, Fife, Scotland. Born in the village of Culross in 1819. Serving in the 78th Highlanders, he won the Victoria Cross, Britain's highest honour at Lucknow, India, on the 26th of September, 1857. Presented to him by Queen Victoria. Stewart lived to 73 years of age.
