Old Photograph Drum Major Outside Balhousie Castle Perth Perthshire Scotland

Old photograph of a Drum Major outside Balhousie Castle in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. Housed in historic Balhousie Castle, is the Museum of The Black Watch displaying 266 years of the rich history of Scotland's best known and oldest Highland regiment. The origins of Balhousie Castle are said to date back to the 12th century. Originally an L-shaped tower house what we see today is the central part, possibly dating from the 17th century. In its present form, the Castle dates from the 1860s.
