Tour Scotland Photograph Painting By James Stuart Park


Tour Scotland photograph of a Gypsy Girl painting by James Stuart Park, who was born in 1862 in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England, of parents from Ayrshire Scotland. The family returned to Scotland shortly after his birth, and he would gain his formal art training at the Glasgow School of Art and in Paris, France, under Lefebvre, Boulanger and Cormon. He was associated with the Glasgow Boys, sharing a studio with David Gauld and James Kay. He exhibited at the R.S.A. and Glasgow Institute, but rarely in England. Park died in Kilmarnock in 1933.
