Tour Scotland video of Broughty Ferry Lifeboat on the Firth of Tay on a visit to Tayport, Fife, Scotland. Two sailors had to be rescued from the River Tay after their boat overturned. The RNLI were alerted at 1.20pm after the small vessel was spotted in the middle of the river near to the road bridge. two sailors were uninjured and were taken back to shore by the lifeboat crews and their boat was recovered and towed back to Broughty Ferry. Celebrating 175 years as a lifeboat station, and now operating two lifeboats, Broughty Ferry was the first inshore lifeboat station in Scotland.
