Old photograph of Newton Castle near Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland. A strongly built, half-castellated manor house existed here as early as 1554 but was burnt in the middle of the 17th Century. The building was later rebuilt in much of the former style. The castle is haunted by the ghost of Lady Jean. Blog post of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to travel and visit one day.
