Tour Scotland Photograph Plockton Wester Ross

Tour Scotland photograph of cottages in Plockton, Wester Ross, Scotland. A beautiful village on the shores of Loch Carron. Most of the houses date from the 18th and 19th centuries. This was a planned community based on fishing in an attempt to stem the tide of emigration from the Highlands. The village has become a popular tourist resort, since the TV series Hamish Macbeth, starring Robert Carlyle, was filmed there. Plockton was also used for various scenes in the film The Wicker Man.

Beautiful photograph of the Rhu peninsula but I can`t help but wonder if the ratty old catamaran to the left foreground will ever be hauled away. I think it`s been in the same spot for at least the last eight years.
