Tour Scotland very short windy 4K Winter travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and and Sporran and walking by Torrylin Cairn on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip near Kilmory, Island of Arran, Britain, United Kingdom. A Neolithic chambered tomb dating back to approximately 3000 BC, it is a classic example of a Clyde cairn, a style of burial monument unique to southwest Scotland. It served as a communal tomb and ritual site for over 1,000 years. A well-known local legend tells of a farmer who plundered the cairn in 1860, even taking home a large human skull as a souvenir. After taking the skull, his house was allegedly struck by tornado like winds. Despite returning the bones, he remained haunted by shadowy phantoms until he was eventually thrown from his horse to his death. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome.
