Tour Scotland short 4K travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a Kilt and Sporran and walking by the Covesea Skerries on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to coast of the Moray Firth, Britain, United Kingdom. The Covesea Skerries are rocky islands off the coast of Lossiemouth, known for the historic lighthouse built to warn ships of the dangerous reefs. A skerry is a small, rocky islet, and the Covesea Skerries are a notable group of these formations in the Moray Firth. The Covesea Skerries Lighthouse was designed and built by Alan Stevenson, uncle of novelist Robert Louis Stevenson, and completed in 1846. It was constructed on the mainland at Craighead, overlooking the notorious offshore skerries. The building was requested after a storm in 1826 caused 16 ships to be lost in the Moray Firth. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome
