Tour Scotland 4K Autumn travel video, with Scottish bagpipes, music of a road trip drive on the A93 old military route North on history visit and trip to visit Glenshee, Highlands of Perthshire, Britain United Kingdom. The A93 road, part of General Wade's military road from Perth to Fort George, runs north through the glen and on into Glen Beag, where it crosses the Cairnwell Passthe highest public road in the UK. Glen Shee is known as the glen of the fairies it takes its name from the Gaelic " sith " meaning fairy and the old meeting place behind the present day church is called Dun Shith or Hill of the Fairies. While not challenging by the standards of Scottish mountain passes thanks to improvements in the 1950s and 1960s, there are few places that mix the steep gradients, tight curves and high levels of tourist traffic like the A93 does. It marks the southern boundary of the Cairngorms National Park. The park is the UK’s largest; it stretches out over much of the Grampian hills and almost half of the 100-plus miles of the A93 fall within its borders. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. When driving on Scottish roads in Scotland slow down and enjoy the trip. Meteorological Autumn or Fall is different from standard and astronomical Autumn and begins September 1 and ends November 30.
