Scottish Championship Car Racing. Knockhill Racing Circuit, By Saline, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. Topping the bill are the highly competitive Mini Cooper, Legends and Formula Ford Championships. The Mini Coopers are highly modified versions of the fabulous modern Mini with souped up engines and racing suspension plus a celebrity guest car being run by Tynecastle Garage of Edinburgh. There is every likelihood you might see a TV, radio or sports star taking to the track too. The minis have a 3-race format similar to the British Touring Cars, keeping all the drivers on their toes throughout the day. Legends are amazing 3/5th scale American hot rods with high revving Yamaha motorcycle engines. There is no series in the world that has closer racing as often these buzz-bombs will be racing 4-abreast towards the first corner, awesome! Formula Fords are the first step to Formula One and stars such as David Coulthard, and Allan McNish raced one at the start of their careers. Wheel-to-wheel racing, is guaranteed as Scotland’s young (and not so young!) chargers battle to become Scottish Champions. Other feature races include the amazing Scottish saloon and sports cars some of the most powerful, most highly modified racers in the UK, with up to 600-700bhp each. In addition there are races for Classic Sports & Saloon cars, as well as XR2 and Fiesta races. 9am, Sunday, 17th October 2010.
60'S Gold Tour 2010, Caird Hall, Dundee, Scotland. A show featuring all the hits of the 60's from The Original Stars of the Sixties!!! The famous singles to the timeless albums tracks, this show will create the ultimate feel-good factor as audiences are transported back to the great nights of the 60s. 7.30pm, Sunday, 17th October 2010.
Eric Taylor at The Inn at Lathones, By Largoward, St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. Eric Taylor is one of the few artists I’ve ever seen with a greatness that wreathes about him as he takes the stage, no matter what size the venue. An audience instinctively knows to shut up and pay attention. This is a man who takes the art of songwriting, and the art of performance, seriously. And, at the end of the set, the audience will have been transported some place and back again. Eric Taylor doesn’t just make you feel the sun and taste the dust of Texas, he takes you places and puts you inside people’s minds. From prison inmates trying to fathom the jumble of their lives to little kids watching their family implode, Eric Taylor makes it real. Aspiring, and accomplished, songwriters leave Eric Taylor shows shaking their heads in awe. And well they should. 9pm, Sunday, 17th October 2010. Mundell Music.
