Old Photograph Dunskey Castle Scotland

Old photograph of Dunskey Castle, Scotland. This is a ruined, early 16th century Scottish tower house, located just south of the village of Portpatrick, Dumfries and Galloway, on the south west coast of Scotland. It was probably built by the Adair family, who also built St John's Castle in Stranraer. The current castle was built after the medieval fortified house on the site burned down in the early 16th century following a local battle. Tour Scottish Castles.
