Tour Scotland Photograph James Lumsden Statue Glasgow


Tour Scotland photograph of the James Lumsden statue, near Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow, Scotland. James Lumsden, born 1778, died 1856, was a local benefactor. This statue was erected in 1862 and is by John Mossman. Lumsden was Lord Provost of Glasgow from 1843 to 1846 and he is wearing his chain of office. The statue was originally meant to stand at the gates of the Glasgow Necropolis.
