Old Photograph Fife Horse Regiment Newport-on-Tay Fife Scotland

Old photograph of Fife Horse Regiment riding through Newport-on-Tay in Fife, across from Dundee, Scotland. The Fife and Forfar Yeomanry was an Armoured Yeomanry Regiment of the British Territorial Army from 1793 to 1956, when it was amalgamated with the Scottish Horse. It was raised to counter the threat of invasion by France in the late 18th Century but first saw service in the Boer War. The Regiment saw heavy fighting in both the Great War and World War II.
