Visiting from Perth and the North take the A9, M9 towards Edinburgh, exit at Junction 6 for Falkirk . Visiting from Glasgow, take the M80 towards Stirling, exit at Junction 8 for M876 and join M9, exit at Junction 6 for Falkirk and rangemouth and then follow the brown tourism signs to Helix park and Kelpies. The kelpie is a supernatural water horse from Celtic folklore that is believed to haunt the rivers and lochs of Scotland and Ireland. These Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coal ships that shaped the geographical layout of the Falkirk area.
