Tour Scotland Video Spring Drive From Coupar Angus To Meigle And Glamis Castle



Tour Scotland video of a Spring drive East on the A94 road from Coupar Angus to the church and cemetery in Meigle, Perthshire, and onwards on ancestry visit to the village and castle in Angus, Scotland. Meigle church dates to around 1870. It stands on the ancient site of a turf church erected by Columban missionaries around ad 606. Glamis Castle has been the home of the Lyon family since the 14th century, though the present building dates largely from the 17th century. Glamis was the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, wife of King George VI. Their second daughter, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was born there.
