James Lorimer, born 4 November 1818 in Aberdalgie in Perthshire., died 13 February 1890, who was a Scottish advocate and professor of public law. He was an authority on international law. Sir Robert Stodart Lorimer, born 4 November 1864, died 13 September 1929, who was a prolific Scottish architect and furniture designer noted for his sensitive restorations of historic houses and castles, for new work in Scots Baronial and Gothic Revival styles, and for promotion of the Arts and Crafts movement. John Henry Lorimer, born 12 August 1856, died 4 November 1936, who was a Scottish painter who worked on portraits and genre scenes of everyday life. Leonara Jeffrey Rintoul ornithologist, a rare female Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
