Tour Scotland Video Old Photographs Lochinver



Tour Scotland video of old photographs of Lochinver, Sutherland, Scotland. This is a village on the coast in the Assynt district of the Highlands. Lochinver is dominated by the sugar loaf shape of Caisteal Liath, the summit peak of nearby Suilven mountain. Lochinver is the second largest fishing port in Scotland; frequented by European fishermen primarily from Spain and France. Villages nearby include; Inverkirkaig, Achmelvich, Clachtoll, Clashmore, Stoer, Clashnessie, Drumbeg and Culkein Drumbeg, The Lochinver name was adopted in the 1950s by a large sheep station in New Zealand's North Island. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
