Tour Scotland Video Tunna The Sleeping Tune Perth Perthshire

Tour Scotland video of Tunna Tunes playing The Sleeping Tune on ancestry visit to Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. Karys Watt playing the fiddle and David Macfarlane from the folk band Tunna. Gordon Duncan, who wrote The Sleeping Tune, was born on 14 May 1964, and died on 14 December 2005. He was a bagpiper and composer, born in Turriff, Aberdeenshire. Gordon attracted attention from folk bands, touring the USA and Europe with the Tannahill Weavers, Wolfstone and Ceolbeg and became associated with Dougie MacLean, playing low whistle on his albums. He began composing soon afterwards, having travelled across Europe and been exposed to other traditions, especially Breton music. He also performed with the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band and the Atholl Highlanders.
